An Offering of Letters
As we offer our money and our time to God we can also offer our voices on behalf of the voiceless - Micah Challenge
In partnership with Micah Challenge, ADRA Australia would like to invite all individuals, schools and youth groups to pick up their pens to help fight poverty.
By simply picking up a pen and writing a letter to our Prime Minister, you can help urge our government to show compassion, generosity and justice for 1.2 billion people who live in extreme poverty. It's time to ask our Prime Minister to turn his words of support for the Millennium Development Goals and the increase in overseas aid, into tangible actions.
The Offering of Letters kit can be downloaded from the Micah Challenge Website. It includes all the information you need to write a letter to the Prime Minister, as well as a sample letter and responsive prayer you can use with your group. You can also download a PowerPoint presentation that can be used to explain the campaign.
Following the campaign, the letters will be collected from Micah Challenge and delivered to Mr Rudd during the Micah Challenge National Gathering, Voices for Justice, in October.
If you participate in the Offering of Letters, email ADRA Australia for possible inclusion of your story in the ADRAnews.
