| Half the world- nearly three billion people - live on less than two dollars a day. Statistics like this are shocking, and sometimes seem so overwhelming; you feel there is nothing you can do. But there is! You can make the choice and take action TODAY to help fight poverty. |
| Starting on Sunday 14th October, people all over Australia will be
taking part in the Anti-Poverty Week campaign to raise awareness of the
causes and consequences of poverty and to encourage action to address
these problems. You too can get involved by organising your own event
or by joining one of the Anti Poverty Week events.You can choose to participate in making the World's Biggest Banner, which will be unfurled in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra during Anti-Poverty Week. ADRA Australia and Make Poverty History have prepared some resources to help you promote the Anti-Poverty Week in your church. The resources include:
