ADRA Australia Launches Unforgettable Gifts Catalogue

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Australia has, for the first time, launched a guft catalogue that highlights items needed for development projects in Australia, the Pacific and Asia. The catalogue profiles project items such as school supplies kit, a buffalo, a village water system and vocational training.

ADRA Assists Displaced Families in Kenya


The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Australia is coordinating with local organisations in Kenya to provide emergency food assistance and medical supplies for displaced and affected families in and around Nairobi, folloeing violent unrest after last week's presidential elections.

ADRA Responds to Peru Earthquake

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency is on the ground in Peru assessing survivors’ needs, after a 7.9 earthquake struck off the coast, 90 miles southeast of Lima, at 6:40 p.m. local time Wednesday evening. ADRA has initiated an immediate response to meet the most urgent needs of survivors in the earthquake-hit Ica province, including emergency medical care, water, food, tents, and blankets.

ADRA Promotes Half Time Events to Make Poverty History

In the year 2000, all member states of the United Nations, including Australia, signed on to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) - a set of eight targets which aim to halve world poverty by 2015. Recognising the importance of this time, and the need to keep momentum going in alleviating extreme poverty, ADRA Australia is promoting events and activities to raise awareness of the issues of poverty as we hit 'half time' in June and July.

Drought Relief Continues in NSW

ADRA contributed to a drought relief project that distributed household products to affected families in outback New South Wales. Products included cereal, flour, water, juice, toothpaste and shampoo. Facilitated by volunteers, the project used donated goods and cash to provide drought relief packs to more than 40 families in places such as Wanaaring, Enngonia, Brewarrina, Louth, Byrock and Taboolama.
