ADRA Celebrates Volunteers

4th December, 2007

Wahroonga, New South Wales —In commemoration of International Volunteers Day, December 5, the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Australia thanks it's many volunteers.

Around Australia, over 900 people contribute their time an effort to support a number of ADRA projects each year.

"Volunteers are an important part of the work that ADRA does in Australia. ADRA Australia heavily relies on volunteers to run ADRA Op Shops, provide emergency assistance during disasters and crisis, support ADRA centres and refuges and to staff ADRA projects," said national program coordinator, Marilyn Mackay.

ADRA would like to show our appreciation for the efforts of all volunteers that have contributed over the past year by saying thank you.
