Samoa: National Day of Mourning

Wahroonga, New South Wales — Representatives from the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Australia and New Zealand will today attend the memorial services for the victims of the 29 September tsunami in Samoa.Robert Patton, Manager, Emergency Management, says his team is planning to attend the services to show their support for the Samoan community.
“This day is about grieving together, as a community, for those who have lost their loved ones and to support the survivors who have lost so much,” says Robert Patton.
“The Samoan community and all the communities affected by this tsunami have our deepest condolences. We are planning to stand by our Samoan brothers and sisters and support them during this difficult time.”
ADRA Australia and ADRA New Zealand are partnering in Samoa to meet the needs of affected communities and support people as they rebuild their lives.
