242 372Bringing clean water to an aid post in Vanuatu

Pritaon Aid Post in Vanuatu is an Adventist Church initiative and is funded by the church.
There is one nurse there called Henethy.
The Aid Post is being upgraded to operate as a Community Isolation Centre. To this end the following has occurred:
– Concrete ramp to allow disabled people to access the post.
– 10,000L rain water tank connected to the roof guttering.
– Two hand washing stations using main water, one with a ramp.
The 10,000L water tank was installed as part of the COVID-19 response project

The primary issue that Henethy deals with are skin diseases. There is a lack of water and washing facilities in the surrounding community. Thanks to the water tank and hand washing stations, this issue is expected to decrease.
