ADRA Community Care Centre – Wantirna Australia
Donate NowAustralia
The Wantirna ADRA Community Care Centre is run by volunteers from the local Adventist church and the community. We work in partnership with the council’s emergency relief network to provide timely food provisions for families and individuals in crisis. This service caters for food intolerances, cultural preferences, access difficulties and specific needs with some flexibility to suit all client’s circumstances.
ADRA’s well-being to well-giving focus promotes a healthy lifestyle. Our clients state that they enjoy an ADRA food parcel and/or meal as the food is fresh, caters for intolerances, nutrient dense and resembles a home cooked meal.
Locations and Times:
Thursdays 1-4pm – 119 Mountain Highway, Wantirna
Stories
Prior to visiting the Wantirna ADRA Community Care Centre, this boy with Aspergers didn’t have a computer.
A church family generously provided him with $3000 to buy everything he needed – way more than he was asking for.
His mother said he never smiles so she was speechless & in tears.
The pastor of the local church, Pr Yoshi, shopped for the equipment and set it all up.
This interaction has made a world of difference to this boy and his mother.
