The Good Governance and Livelihood (GOAL) Project is working with vulnerable groups and communities in three rural districts of Nepal. In a country with a significant reliance on the land for food and income, the project takes a grassroots approach to development. ADRA is providing micro-enterprise and entrepreneurship training and support, strengthening local leadership and helping communities develop environmental planning and management systems. This project works with the vulnerable groups and communities in the Rolpa, Dhading and Pyuthan districts, focusing on improving livelihoods through strengthened local leadership, environmental management strategies and income generation options.

1 in four Nepalese are unemployed.

80% of the population relies on climate sensitive livelihoods including agriculture and forestry.
