The Townsville Food Pantry is a community service provided for those who are struggling to make ends meet. It is a way to provide some food assistance to encourage families, the elderly or those struggling to find work through tough times. Our friendly volunteers take the time to chat to those who pass through every Friday morning between 10-10:30am, purposed to make a difference in the lives of others in the Townsville community.
Adam* recently lost his job, and when all of the bills arrived at the same time, he didn’t know what to do. If it was just himself he had to worry about, that would have been ok, but he didn’t want his burdens to affect his child. He heard about the ADRA Food Pantry and rang up to see if he could find any kind of assistance to help him through. When ADRA delivered a food parcel, he was so thankful that he didn’t have to worry about food for himself and his child for a few days until he could sort something out. “I want to thank ADRA for helping me out with food for me and my kid!”
