Ian’s Story
For Vive Café guests, Christmas season is often a time of sadness where their loss is amplified. But by decorating the hall, providing a Christmas dinner, organising gifts for the children and Christmas hampers for each person to take home, a festive spirit is created.
Ian*, one of our older guests, wrote a Christmas card that spoke of his loss some 10 years ago. But the people he has met from Vive Cafe have “changed his life from sadness to happiness” and now he has “started to go back to walk… on Jesus’ road”.
Another man wrote that “before I met you I was nobody, now I am somebody”.
